The beer pours great with a nice deep brown, mahogany color to it that passes almost no light, a nice two finger brown head, and some lacing on the glass. The beer smells great with a nice blend of raisins, red plum, and a hint of brown sugar. The taste is outstanding with a solid flavor of raisins and dark fruit with a somewhat boozy finish but blends well together. The mouthfeel is outstanding as the beer is perfectly carbonated and somewhat sweet and dry. Overall, an outstanding quad...

Presentation: 750 mL bottle into a standard pint glass. This is the second edition, and 11% ABV. A- Vibrant amber appearance, and strikingly clear. Pours with ~2 fingers of light tan head, which fades very slowly into a thin cap. Tons of sticky lacing. S- Some floral, piney-hops, along with fruity notes. Subdued caramel sweet/malty notes emerge as the brew warms. T- Slightly hop forward with the floral/citrus notes, then balanced nicely by the sweet, caramel, malty notes. M- Moderate carbonation. Feel is medium full. O- Good. Flavorful and enjoyable. Future outlook: A limited release that I'm happy to have tried. Not worth trying to sniff out another bottle this year, but will be happy to try if they release another version next year.

A: Pours a hazy dark reddish brown, a bit of light passes through. 1/2 finger head dissipates quickly. S: Dark fruit, roasted malts, whiskey, oak, vanilla. T: Roasted malt is pretty prominent here, with a bit of dark fruit. Nice whiskey and oak tones once again; nothing too overpowering, all are simply nice touches that enable a full enjoyment of the other flavors. M: Light-medium body with light-moderate carbonation, a bit syrupy but mostly pretty smooth. Quite dry for a porter. D: One glass was enjoyable, and another wouldn't be too much trouble. Worthy of a pick-up if you see it.
