Vintage crew and sporting prints, colorful sweeps, high-backed booths, and leaded glass set the tone. By day and early evening, The Tombs is a favorite with University faculty and neighbors. Later at night, it becomes a popular gathering place for Georgetown students. On Sunday, brunch after mass at historic Holy Trinity Church is a longtime Georgetown tradition. Complementing the comfortable surroundings is a simple, affordable menu of burgers, hearty soups and salads, daily specials and house made desserts from the 1789 Restaurant's pastry shop.
