Links: Sign Up to Participate:The Great Newsome Brewery is situated here on the East Yorkshire Coast close to the City of Hull and is run by the Hodgson family at Great Newsome Farm. Four generations of the Hodgson family have grown crops at Great Newsome Farm in the rich soil of Holderness, and as well as brewing, farming is still a very busy part of life here at Great Newsome. The brewery first brewed here in May 2007, following extensive research on the local and regional real ale market and peoples growing awareness of locally produced food and drink. Following two successful grant applications to both DEFRA and Growing Routes the Hodgson's converted some former Victorian livestock buildings into a purpose built brewery and installed a brand new 10 barrel brew plant.
