Once upon a time, a man with a passion for craft beer began brewing up an idea. It all started out innocently enough (what relationship between barley and hops doesn’t?) when he received the priceless gift of a home brewing kit from his beloved wife one Father’s Day. Suddenly a question planted itself like a seed into his mind: What if he loved making beer as much as he loved tasting it? Well as any proud papa of a newborn baby knows- only beer held the answer. So with that, Rocket Republic was conceived and after an intense labor of love, it came kicking and screaming its way into this world. Behind the Name Eric and Tatum Crigger fell in love in sunny Key West, Florida, a.k.a. Conch Republic. Soon after, they relocated to Huntsville, Alabama, a.k.a. Rocket City, and have called it home ever since. As soon as they dreamed of having their own brewery, they knew what the name had to be, and Rocket Republic was born! Behind the Logo Our label logo was originally designed after the Conch Republic flag- we just replaced the conch shell with a rocket instead and decided to give it a major facelift off into future with a Steampunk theme. From there the flag evolved into something more simplified with the back-to-back R’s, creating our Rocket Republic Grunge Logo. Behind the Partnership What happens when you cross a couple of serious Rocket Engineers with a couple that seriously loves brewing beer? A mash made in heaven…pardon the pun. Lynn and John Troy were looking for a fun side job to take them away from the heavy pressures and high stress of designing, building and launching their own rockets, so what better way to kick back at the end of a long day then to take a well-deserved sip of your very own beer?
