Bosun's Bitter is brewed in a traditional outbuilding at the rear of the hotel by the Old Laxey Brewing Company. Established in 1996, it is the Island's smallest independent brewery. The full-bodied Bosun's complies with the 1874 Isle of Man Pure Act. The terminology may be antiquated but the message has always remained the same: Bosun's is a pure ale and that makes for pure drinking pleasure. It is lovingly made in small quantities, with great care taken to ensure the quality is consistently high.
