Gate City Brewing Company was founded in 2013 in Roswell, Georgia. The name is rooted in neighboring Atlanta's historical moniker as the "Gate City of the New South" due to its reputation as a hub for culture, commerce and transportation. The logo 'the phoenix rising' is a testament to the grit, perseverance and sheer will of the city and region alike. Back in 1864, General William Sherman burned most of Atlanta to the groundï¿½including Roswellï¿½before setting off on his infamous March to the Sea. Undeterred by this unspeakable blow, Atlantans immediately set about rebuilding their homes, businesses and way of life. It was a hard road but, over time, a new kind of city began to emerge from the ashes. Today, Metro Atlanta is as vibrant as ever. Its transition from smoldering rubble to flashpoint for social change to Olympic host to what itï¿½s become and where itï¿½s headed is nothing short of remarkable. Through an unwavering openness to growth, change and reinvention, Metro Atlantans have forged a world-class city that serves as beacon for those seeking opportunity. The perfect place to chase a dream. At Gate City we strive to brew beers that embody the very same independent spirit that inspired us to chase our dreams of opening Roswellï¿½s first craft brewery.
