The brewery can trace their roots back to the Fort Steele Brewery. This brewery was opened in 1898. Albert Mutz was the founding brewmaster. Construction has been completed this year on a reproduction of this brewery, and can be found at the entrance to the Fort Steele Heritage Village - North of Cranbrook
