Charter Oak Brewing Company LLC (COBC) is a craft beer brewery which is the newest Connecticut-based brewery that features hand-crafted innovative beers such as Pale Ales, IPAs (India Pale Ales), Brown Ales and several seasonal, more robust beers. We want to offer you Connecticut's best beers and freshest beers. Our plan is to brew each style of our craft beers in small batches and do this on a frequent basis. Our brewery's model is to be a small, independent micro-brewery with total focus on brewing the freshest, best beer and market world class, premium, niche craft beers. Last year, P. Scott Vallely, an entrepreneur that has operated several businesses for the past 30 years, decided to sell his paper company and focus on creating and growing a micro-craft brewery around the Southwestern Connecticut area and market innovative beers for northeast beer drinkers. Vallely has always had a passion for and commitment to brewing only the finest beer from all natural ingredients. A response to a recent interview sums up his position "I am excited to finally follow my dreams!" He has been an avid home brewer for nearly thirty years and has been brewing all the styles that Charter Oak will brew and market. The Charter Oak brewery introduced its first style on June 18th, 2012. Our initial plan is to offer four year-round flagship brands, IPA (India Pale Ale), Pale Ale, Brown Ale, and an ESB (Extra Special Bitter) as well as four more complex and robust seasonal brews – one for each season of the year. All our hand-crafted beers will only use the freshest barley, choice hops, and will be brewed with only the purest of water.
