In 1987, the Calistoga Inn gave birth to Calistoga beer and the Napa Valley Brewing Company. The Inn was the first establishment to brew beer commercially in Napa County since the days of prohibition. It brews four principle beers: Calistoga Wheat Ale, Pilsner, Red Ale & Porter. In addition, other seasonal beers are brewed throughout the year, such as the Kölsch, Blitzen IPA, Pale Ale & Oatmeal Stout. 100% percent of the brewery's production is served at the Calistoga Inn. We also sell 22 ounce bottles, which are all hand filled. We have a 7-barrel gas fired brewhouse that was originally designed by Dr. Michael Lewis of UC Davis. Our current total annual production is about 450 barrels. After long hours of wine tasting, there's nothing like a cold beer on the patio of the Calistoga Inn. Over the years we have won numerous awards for our beer, including both bronze and gold finishes at the Great American Beer Fest in Denver, Colorado, and blue ribbons at the California State Fair. The Calistoga Inn has two bars where guests can taste the different beers. Visit our new air-conditioned Pub & our Patio Bar.
