The history of Browar Belgia dates back to 1995. In the relatively short period our company has undergone a true metamorphose: from a small local brewery to the one of the most advanced brewery of Central-Eastern Europe holding a strong position on the Polish market. In 1995 Belgian Palm Brewery together with the shareholders of Kielce Brewery (itself founded three years earlier) formed a new joint venture company called Browar Kielce. One year later Palm Brewery became main shareholder and the brewery was renamed Browar Belgia. In this first year of the company, Browar Belgia held a 0.2% market share. In 1997 decision was made to build a completely new brewery plant. Former food processing plant in Kielce - Dyminy has been chosen as a place where the plans were to be realised. Partly using the old buildings, partly building new ones, Browar Belgia created in less than two years the most modern beer production plant in Europe. High tech brewing technology from Germany, Poland and Denmark ensures a fluent and fully controlled brewing process. The new brewery was opened in September 1999, with a concert of Polish rock legend MANAAM for 25,000 enthusiast from Kielce. As from then Browar Belgia developed dynamically. Up to 2003 we have increased our production over 12 times, being year after year the fastest growing brewery plant in Poland. In October 2003 the company was recognized by a leading newspaper Rzeczpospolita as the forth fastest growing company in Poland between 2000 and 2003. In years 2004 – 2006 Browar was developing further by launching next brands into the market – including Frater – the first Polish abbey beer. Due to such a dynamic expansion and persistent modernization Browar Belgia holds 4th position in the Polish beer market today with the annual production volume of over 1 million hectoliters of beer.
