Links: Sign Up to Participate:Situated on the rue des Canettes, in the heart of the St Germain des Prés district, and only a stone's throw away from the famous St Suplice square, the Brasserie O'Neil was the first brewpub ("brasserie" is the French word for brewery) in Paris. Issue of M. Pinet, a restaurant owner in search of innovative ideas, and Patrick Bonduel, whose family has been in the brewing business for years in the North of France, the Brasserie O'Neil opened in the country's capital over fifteen years ago. Its trump card is, of course, its excellent pure malt beers brewed on the premises but it is also a lively pub that offers its customers a warm welcome.
