Links: Sign Up to Participate:Originally called Breweyed and renamed Bo Bristle, in september 2012, we started the brewery in Banagher, Co. Offaly in 2010 with the purpose of making great beers for people who know their beer, using 100 % natural malt and whole leaf hops. Bo Bristle was officially launched at the Irish Craft Beer Festival in the RDS where it completely sold out - a great welcome into the Irish craft beer community ! Our aim is to spread the word of Bo and get even more people enjoying it great taste. The name Bo Bristle came from Celtic legend, where great importance is attached to the bristles of the boar. They were the distinguishing characteristic of the animal and symbolic of its strengh. Boar hunting features in several stories of Celtic and Irish mythology. One such story is that of how Fionn Mac Cumhaill lured his rival Diarmuid Ua Duibne to his death; gored by the powerful bristle of the boar. Our beers are likewise known for their strengh, flavour and character. At Bo Bristle beer is in our blood - when we're not making it, we're drinking it ! From Bo Bristle to you - sláinte !
