The Blackwater Brewing Company is a family owned company. The company was formed in 1998 as a natural growth of a sole proprietorship, beginning with approximately four employees. Today we employ 13 local residents and continue to provide a family friendly environment for our patrons. The original owners, Terry Lee and Rosalinde Benson, continue to manage the daily operations here at Blackwater Brewing Company. Blackwater Brewing Company is currently divided into two divisions: food & beverage operations, and malt beverage brewing operations. Here at the Blackwater Brewing Company you will enjoy our great food, great hand crafted beers, a great facility and great service. Our food is a mixture of three cuisines: American, Italian and German. The German recipes are dishes that have been handed down through Rosalinde’s family and given to us by her mother Edith Koppe. All our dishes are prepared by skilled cooks who are supervised by our Executive Chef David Cartwright. Our six handcrafted beers are brewed on our premise in our custom made, three barrel brewing system by our resident brewer Debra Sampson who is also our Director of Operations. Debra has won several awards for her handcrafted beer recipes, all six beers are an absolute delight to beer connoisseurs and just plain beer drinkers alike. Our facility is also hand crafted, in that, Terry, Debra and other staff helped design and custom build our furniture and bar. For your comfort we provide a cozy dining room; warm pub area with booths, high tables with bar stool seating, and bar seating. We recently expanded and have a large space that can be used for parties.
