This annual Wren Day treat is a little different than its past versions, and we are loving it. A black barleywine, richer than ever with its signature twelve-hour boil. Utilizing roasted barley and de-bittered black malt, this brew was dark as night before it even hit the kettle. More berry/cherry in the aroma than some of your classic raisin/fig notes in these big beers. Flavors of warm nougat and toasted walnut, with a hint of cola, all balancing its malt-forward backbone. A truly enjoyable barleywine in its young form, and we're thrilled to see how it ages and blends in our barrel cellar. 12.5% ABV.
