RAISIN EATERS B.A. is a tribute to the Fresno Raisin Eaters, a minor league baseball team from 1906. We brewed a traditional English Barleywine with 200lbs of Organic Raisin "Butter" (aka puree) and then aged the final beer for nearly a year in a mix of Bourbon and Rye Whiskey barrels. It's tasting like a fine port wine.

Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9
Rated Nov. 2018. 12oz waxed bottle pours with a murky mahogany colored body that has a thin ring of light tan bubbles. The aroma offers up rum like notes, soft bourbon, molasses and booze soaked raisins. The taste delivers smooth molasses and blunted sweet raisins as well as soft sweet bourbon. To midway a thin layer of boozy oak is noticed only adding a mild nuance to the experience. This is smooth and integrated. Not sure cellar time will improve this much. Its darn nice right now.
