The Chungus of all the Jorshy’s, Double Barrel Jorshy ain’t messing around. First brewed in early 2021, Jorshy was our English-style barleywine brewed with copious amounts of English Maris Otter malt and classic English hops. We aged a portion of that beer for a year in Garrison Bros. small batch Texas bourbon whiskey barrels. That beer was Barrel-aged Jorshy. But we weren’t done yet. We took an even smaller amount of THAT beer and racked it in an Ironroot Republic rye whiskey barrel for another year, lending even more intense whiskey and spice notes to the beer. More whiskey than beer, this potent tipple exudes notes of toffee, burnt sugar, dates, leather, pipe tobacco, and the musk of a haunted mansion from a 1969 Hanna-Barbera cartoon. Hell yeah, player
