Another addition to the 1488 range - designed to reflect the original character of the beer which was once produced at the brewery sited here. Tullibardine 1488 Ales are distinctive, their characteristic traits beautifully balanced by a depth and complexity so closely associated with Tullibardine Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky. This truly remarkable Ale is best drunk chilled, perhaps being chased by a dram of your favourite Tullibardine Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

Poured a cola-looking body beneath a sparse, ivory head. Aroma was mainly malt. Flavour started off not so good, but improved as things warmed up. At the end of it all, it was drinkable but hardly memorable. At 5% ABV, I wouldn't call this a "strong" ale by any stretch.

Dark brown with red highlights, small short lived film on top. Mildly sweet malty aroma, some cream cheese and berry. Smooth caramel malt flavor some smoky peat (not as much as other 1488 beers). Very sweet after taste. Almond and raspberry also make an appearance. I liked it good beer.
