We made this rich, malty barleywine in collaboration with our friends at Bottle Logic. Brewed with Crisp Chevallier Heritage Malt, a hint of Strata hops, and a yeast strain perfectly suited for strong dark ales, we utilized an eight-hour boil to develop both flavor and color.

Pint can pours with a murky mahogany colored body that supports a lasting thin tan head of foam. The modest aroma offers up molasses, a bit of maple and crystal malts and then a small cloud of dark fruity esters. The taste delivers smooth sweet malts and molasses flowing into dates, plums and a sliver of raisins. To midway a spicier note is noticed creating a black strap molasses like sensation. The flavors are bold but blended just enough to lead you to think there's a lot going on but not really. Solid sipper.
