Mother Funker is a sour blonde ale that has been aged for several years in barrels predominately used for Chardonnay. Mother Funker is a seriously sour beer, perhaps the most sour beer we’ve produced so far. Bursting with citrus, funk, and a hint of white vinegar, Mother Funker is for those who like their sours with more sour.

    Sampled on 3/9/2012. This sour/wild ale pours a slightly hazy orange gold color from a 750ml bottle. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity and tart, funky and oaky. A medium bodied sour/wild ale. The malts are fruity and sweet, tart and funky. The hops are herbal. Mild carbonation. Very tart and sour, yet a nice malt sweetness. Hints of oak and wood. This one will age really nicely. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter and funky.

    Who doggie...Bruery absolutely brought the funk with this beauty. Bright lemon yellow with a moderate head and spotty lacing. Big time tangy and soured fruits with a whole bunch of soulful funk. Big beats and sour fruity treats along with a dry tart finish. Mouth puckering and satisfying...made for a remarkable palate cleanser.

    after 3 other really good sours i was ready for a letdown here. never happened. this was the favorite of a couple guys in our group, and my no. 2 after the amazing sour in the rye. the white vinegar in the aroma and aftertaste is fantastic, and this beer pulls off being nearly bracingly sour while having a super soft palalte and feel. awesome!!!

    deep yellow .. good hardy foam .. drummin lacing .. . tart!! very tart and puckering, this is fantastic stuff .. . no pen allowed, this is to tasty! .. . . he was ok, after 6-7 weeks, he started talked talking again.. kids are resilient..
