Sampled at the Bruery Provisions on 6/4/2011. This sour/wild ale pours a medium brown color from the tap. Large sized white foamy head, with good lacing and nice retention. The aroma is malty, fruity and tart. A medium bodied sour ale. The malts are fruity, tart and sweet. The hops are herbal. Funk, tart and sweet, with some wood and fruity all are in very nice balance. Good carbonation. Lots of residual tartness with some sweetness in the background. The tartness is the main character in this beer, yet there is a nice balance of malt and wood as well. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is tart.
