We had a particularly good time playing with nuts and BBLs in this winning blend of barrel-aged beers from our 2016 staff blending competition. Fueled by cheeseburgers and inspired by rocky road, we folded walnuts, cacao nibs from TCHO and vanilla into rich, bourbon barrel-aged…

750mL bottle, courtesy of JPDurden24, pours with a clear deep copper to brown body that supported a minute long tan head. The aroma offers up toffee, caramel, prunes, raisins and figs as well as bourbon, vanilla, some spicy oak and chocolate. Wow! The taste is so well mélange-d together as the sweet rich prune and fig and sweet raisin and concord grape fruitiness blends instantly with sweet smooth caramel, toffee and molasses. To midway smooth sweet soft bourbon joins in at just the right level leading to sweet vanilla and the a thin shard of booze and spicy oak. Man! This beer does the trick. Great sipper with perfectly mélange-d flavor notes. I think a good year or more will find this even better. Nice!
