1988 was a milestone in the history of craft brewing in the United States. It was the year that saw the founding of three influential Northwest craft breweries - Deschutes Brewery, North Coast Brewing Company and Rogue Ales. To mark the 25th Anniversary, brewers from the Class of ’88 met in February to brew three distinct collaboration barleywines.

Taps translucent chestnut with a nice buff head. Aroma presents fruity and fresh-cut wood tones. Flavor features woody, fruity, malt and caramel tones, not too sweet, a touch bitter, enough to stand up to the alcohol nip. Mouthfeel features average fizz and body. A barleywine with good class, if not the valedictorian.
