12oz can, courtesy of the legend: thebaldwizard, pours with a deep copper to mahogany colored body that supports a nice tan head of foam. The aroma offers up inviting notes of plum to date dark fruity esters blending nicely with caramel candy and molasses leading to a soft supple and growing spicy whiskey like notes. The taste delivers a harmony of yum. I get smooth slick integrated plums and dates soaking in kettle caramelization and some molasses. To midway spicy rye whiskey barrel and booze start to break up the soft sweet English Barleywine depths. This is well integrated with pleasing balance between the barrel treatment and the smooth sweet beer notes. I approve. If I'm looking for a barelywine to drink this one will always work.
