This barleywine is 9 months old as of May and in its prime. This beer was first wort hopped and hops added beginning at 100 minutes followed by additions at 80, 60 and 20 minutes. This was then topped off with 1 month of dry hopping. Lots of malt character; lots of hops. It's barleywine. 9.5% ABV This beer is exclusively available at Barley's Tap Room downstairs. '06

This poured an amber color with a large bubbly white head. The aroma contains some alcohol, bread, lemons, and brown sugar. The flavor has a sour presence but is mostly sweet with some brown sugar, dark fruit, caramel, and a hint of citrus. Overall a nice barleywine.
