Plaid to the Bone Heather Ale is a 4.5% abv ale made with heather tips and flowers created especially for the upcoming New Brunswick Highland Games Festival. First brewed in 2012 in support of the New Brunswick Highland Games Festival in Fredericton, N.B. Though the name may suggest an aggressive and assertive brew, this is an easy-drinking pale ale made with real Scottish Heather tips.

Thanks to my friend Nic for bringing this back from his trip at the brewery. Pours a hazy golden colour with a soapy off-white head and good thick foamy lacing. Wheat and honey aromas. Apple taste with a little spices. Not a bad brew, but expecting something different. Wish it was a little stronger all-around.
