Aroma: 6 | Appearance: 6 | Mouthfeel: 7 | Flavor: 6 | Overall: 6
Clear light copper deep gold appearance. There was slight wispy head but I'm not sure if the lack was due to the pour or not. The aroma is very typical of all bitters - hops. In fact, I think all the ones I have tried have seemed identical in all aspects from aroma to motuhfeel to taste, with minor variations. A moderate hop aroma and light malt backing. Mouthfeel is crisp. The taste is moderate hop and malts. The finish on this one is subtle - the hop bite hits and then fades off, leaving a pleasing hop bitterness that lingers but does not make itself prevalent. Dry.
This could be a good introduction to a bitter for somebody who is not big on hops. The finish is kind to the new hophead and its easy drinking overall. I would imagine this making a good session beer.
As a note, I've really got to start finding some method of commiting what I say while I drink the beer to tape. I use great terms and descriptions, and then forget it all when I get here.
