Batch One Thousand Barley Wine :: Back in May of last year we brewed our 1000th batch of beer on our 15bbl Pub Systems copper kettle. The beer is everything a barley wine should be; aromatic and fruity with notes of dried fruit and toffee. Warming, yet smooth, Batch One Thousand Barley Wine was brewed with English ale yeast, caramel malts and American hops. We brewed this beer to condition both in stainless and oak (with most going into barrels for a later date.) Saturday we'll tap our first kegs of the stainless batch for you to enjoy alongside special BDCS vintages and variants (TBA). We can't wait to see everyone this weekend, safe travels and see you soon! Love, Ozark Batch One Thousand Barley Wine 9.1% ABV // 74 estIBUs

    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 9 | Mouthfeel: 8 | Flavor: 8 | Overall: 9

750mL bottle pours with a clear deep copper colored body that supports a tiny clear ring of bubbles. The aroma offers up some malts, thin dark fruity esters and a bit of nuttiness before smooth smelling bourbon and then booze takes over. The taste delivers a nice blend of smooth almost slick sweet malts intertwined with some sweet dark fruity esters. To midway the bourbon and booze add more layers and depth to the experience and also thins it out some. Really nice flavor.
