2013 vintage 22oz bomber, courtesy riversideAK, thanks Alex, pours with a near clear deep copper to amber body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up smooth plums and brown sugar coated raisins to go along with a light spicy woodiness and some earthiness. The taste has a lot going on as the age is pulling the hops toward the sweetness. I get smooth sweet malts blended into blunted pine and floral hops. To midway it gets a bit boozy and resiny with hops. Into the finish modest levels of spicy woody hops join booze and blunted malt sweetened pine hops to help close out the experience.

Vintage 2013 bottle. Redish pour. Lots of fruit and carmel malt on the nose, lighter hops. A little booze. Flavor is nice, but instantly boozy, and the aroma follows as it warms. Raisins and light fruit and a little bitterness. Good, but with it's faults. They gotta tone down the alcohol a bit. I've had bigger thicker stronger barleywines that show far less alcohol.
