Aroma: 9 | Appearance: 7 | Mouthfeel: 9 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9
Comes out of the tap a barely translucent dark apricot - didn’t get much head, but that may be from the pour. Fruity aroma has a strong bourbon overtone and a fair alcohol nip. Flavor is - i yi yi yi yi, NOT for the faint of heart - or tongue! Bold bourbon-soaked wood, sour fruit, sweet malt, and an alcohol bite that would knock the logo off an NFL linebacker’s helmet assault the palate like a squad of Navy SEALs. Texture is smooth and viscous, if not too fizzy, leaving a finish of woody bourbon and fruit, he latter mainly pear and apricot. Harvest one if you get the chance!
