Imperial Barley Wine is a contribution to the evolution of the beer culture in Denmark. It is an experimental and seductive brew with a spicy flavor and aromas of both caramel, vanilla and cinnamon. Imperial Barley Wine has a high ABV at 10,1% and is brewed with three different yeasts both top yeast, bottom yeast and whisky yeast, that gives the beer a vinous aroma. Note: Only availble on draught at the bar and bottled in the shop of The Carlsberg Visitors Centre & The Jacobsen Brewhouse.

Bottled. Amber colour, small off-white head. Aroma of alcohol, plum, malts and some caramel. Flavour of alcohol, sweet burnt sugar, plum, malts and caramel. A bit gluelike sweetness also as it goes a bit water. No aftertaste.
