not as great as the sum of it's parts. had this in the spring along with a couple of aged or barreled jubilations, and it just didn't do much for me. Not bad, but at a premium price, there are far better things out there. lots of sweetness, dark fruit, a little depth, and a little alcohol. small hop presence. and a touch of spice?

Had this at the Portland Holiday Ale Festival. This was the worst beer I tried tonight. The alcohol was just overpowering. The beer was too sweet. It was just plane too hard to drink and I had to give some of it away. Been a long time since I had to do this!
