Rich. Blackcurrant. Lingering. Three words that perfectly describe this beer. Chestnut brown on the eye, berries and floral on the nose then fruity and slightly peppery in the mouth. Mae Best is a darker beer with very attractive blackcurrant overtones. Further hop additions make for an appetising floral aroma, resulting in a beer that is very moreish...

Pours out in a clear reddish copper colour with a small creamy off-white head. Rounded aroma of earthy and soily hops with touches of fudge and caramel. Medium to light-bodied with notes of caramel, earth, biscuits and grass. Crisp mouthfeel. Medium-bitter finish of grass, currant-leaves and mild lemon with undertones of biscuits and caramel.
