actually a little hard to tell if it's definitely an english style, but since I couldn't really taste hops through all the bourbon flavor, let's go with that. This has the potential to be a truly awesome beer...maybe if it spent half the time in the barrels. At first, i thought that the overly powerful bourbon nose and flavor worked better in the BW than it had in their BB imperial stout, but it was again just a little much by the time i was done. it was still quite enjoyable, as was the stout, but this one could have been epic!
