The base of this beer is the amazing Goose Island Imperial Red Ale which is then laid to rest in a Pappy van Winkle bourbon barrel for 6 months. This barrel aged beer is unique in that the addition of the barrel aging gives this beer a rich edge which in turn gives it a perfect balance.
