Tonight I visited Franklin's Brewery in Hyattsville, MD. There was a new brew on the menu this time. It was called B.B. King and it was on nitro. When I heard that, there was no holding me back.

The beer was brought out and looked like it had a "kings crown" to it. The nitro gave it an amazing head that looked so thick and creamy. The color had a dark orangish look to it. There was a slight floral smell emitting from the glass. The beer looked scrumptious and I dove right in.

Flavorwise, it definitely was a bitter beer. You most certainly tasted the florals that came out in the aroma. It even had a slight grapefruit juice hint to it as well with a dry finish. This wasn't anything as good as an Old Thumper, but it was a solid brew. The beer had a nice, smooth mouthfeel to it which lead to a nice smooth drink. If you like bitters, this might be the one you want to try when visiting Franklins.
