The bitter beer style is misleading as far as bitterness is concerned. There are three types of bitters, and our version is a special bitter. The other two are ordinary and extra special. Bitters and pale ales are quite similar, but bitters tend to be lower in alcohol and hop bitterness perception. Our special bitter is 4.0% ABV and 25 BU or bitterness units. It is generously dry hopped to impart both hop flavor and aroma. Served on the hand pump just like bitters are in England.
