Pours translucent apricot with a decent eggshell head. Aroma delivers pear, dusty malt, apple, and subtle woody tones. Flavor features butterscotch, fruity, and subtle malty notes. No wood, though. Mouthfeel is firm, smooth and fizzy. Raise Helldorado!

Bottle. 2015 release. Amber pour with a tall, dense golden head. Aroma is Sweet malt, vanilla, hop notes, honey and candied fruit in the nose. Taste is sweet malt, light caramel, honey, toasted malt, vanilla, booze and subtle hops. Body is medium with a strong, dense, bubbly carbonation. Slightly sticky and warming due to the alcohol. Ends with more toasted malt, cookies, toasted coconut, sweet malt, caramel, candied fruit, hops, vanilla and light hops. Very nice!

My personal favorite of the AV party! As one of the main components of the 15, I ended liking it as much or maybe even better than the blend. intense aroma anf flavor of honeysuckle and vanilla. not much hop presence, but not needed...this is simply delicious. i returned to it several times, and with what they were pouring, that says a lot! this blonde barleywine is one of the most unique brews i;ve had in a long while.
