Sampled at the Drake’s Barrel House on 2/18/2012. This sour/wild ale pours a medium orange gold color from the tap. Small to medium sized white foamy head. The aroma is fruity, sweet, orange, wood and grapes, slightly tart. A medium bodied wild ale. The malts are fruity and sweet, orange and orange peel. Hops are citrusy and floral. Decent carbonation. Hints of wood and chardonnay. Nice balance. Wood character is fairly strong and that and the slight tartness kind of balances the sweetness. Mouthfeel is full and round. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly bitter with some tartness and some wood.
