Man, doesn't taste like its been in a barrel for so long. Smells like an amber still, but is dry with light to moderate funk. It's mellow for a sour and only lightly shows any wine, but is pleasant and fairly complex.

Tasted on tap at the Bistro Barrel Aged Beer Festival on 11/15/2008. This sour ale poured a medium brown color from the tap. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is caramel and soft, fruity and bretty. A medium bodied sour ale. The malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. The hops are earthy and floral. Touch of funk, horse blanket and must. The funk is kind of subdued but adds a nice presence to an amber ale. Not as funky as I thought it might be but it works. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly funky.
