A rich, red ale in the Irish tradition, this ale glows from the addition of caramel and chocolate malts, with a delicate aroma of Pacific Gem and Fuggles hops. The name refers to a group of heroes in pre-Christian Ireland who fought for the O'Neill clan in Ulster.

Wasn't to sure what to expect here, but it ended up being lovely, well balanced, touch of bitter, despite the dominant malt profile. I can't find the chocolate malts in the beer, but I can definately find hard orange candies, a touch of mackintosh toffee and warm bread. I feel a bit of excitement on the tounge, something like the yeast from a belgian, but with far less intensity. Drinks easily.
