Rated in Feb. 2015. Poured up on tap at the brewpub where it exhibits a dark mahogany body that supports a thin tan head. The aroma offers up sweet malts, some molasses, a bit of spicy black licorice, some date like fruitiness. The taste is sweet with malts, molasses, some spicy black licorice and brown sugar coated prunes and dates. This is workin’ real nice. Love me some barleywine. Great sipper.
