    Aroma: 8 | Appearance: 8 | Mouthfeel: 10 | Flavor: 9 | Overall: 9

Thick beastly gold waxed 22oz bomber (11.5% ABV) pours with a slightly murky brown to amber body that supports a nice tan head of foam. The aroma offers up smooth sweet malts, prunes, sweet raisins and a thin spicy licorice sensation flowing into a touch of molasses and toffee off in the background. The taste delivers a smooth red carpet of slick drool inducing richness. Yum! It starts with slick sweet malts and a sense of molasses sweetened roasted malts just as sweet dark fruity esters consisting of prunes and fig and raisins rise up toward midway. Into the finish smooth sweet molasses and toffee and other luscious residual sugars help close this out. In the background from time to time lurks a malt sweetened pine hoppiness that really helps lend further depth and balance here. Solid smooth sipper. I’m delighted I have about 18 more ounces to go.
