Pours opaque dark chocolate with a thin tan head. Aroma delivers strong, tart berry and bourbon character with woody and shy malty notes attendance. Flavor presents berries, bourbon and wood plus a bit of toasted malt. Mouthfeel offers firm, fairly viscous body of not a lot of fizz. Let it plague you.

Lots of barrel, lots of booze and lots of sour. The ONLY cascade brew hat shows its abv are the Bourbonics, but otherwise, damn! Love the combo of sweet oaky bourbon and intense acidity.

Sorry about the crapy review I have a hard time reviewing and watching UFC at the same time. Brown body with a thin film.... thanks jeff. Sour aroma... so very sour. Taste is so sour cherry with a massive sweetness. Grape juice...... and wood. Better then i say.

Bottled. Very deep ruby red colour with small beige head. Aroma is tart wood, some mild wooden notes as well as liquorice and mild alcohol. Flavour is much the same. A quite pleasantly nice balanced one,.

Sampled at GABF on 9/16/2010. This sour ale pours a medium brown color. Small sized white foamy head. The aroma is dark fruit, tart, wood and a hint of bourbon. A medium bodied sour ale. The malts are fruity and sweet, yet still pretty tart as well. The hops are herbal. Lots of bourbon and wood. Nice balance. Good carbonation. Nice tartness, good cherry flavors. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is tart.

ok, i'll put down what i originally wrote.. wow! what an intense funky aroma- wood, bourbon, wet wood and fuck! .. this is to good to drink, and one of my beers of the year! tart and woody with a cutting mouth, dry and complex yet lush and funky .. so good! . ..So there you are, tubby. Look like a bucket of lard on a bad day. You baby gorilla. Why don't you work in a zoo, and stop bothering people? Got a call yesterday from Baskin Robbins. They said that they're down to only five flavors. You're swelling up as I talk to you.
