This live barrel of NW style sour blond ale was initially aged for six months in oak, then aged on Granny Smith apples for another two months. I was then blended with vintage apple beer and additionally aged with Bourbon vanilla bean and Granada cinnamon. Sweet notes of apple flesh with hints of cinnamon greet you in the nose. Crisp apple skins and sweet malts with hints of lemon on the palate finish up with sharp apple tartness, cinnamon and a lingering essence of marshmallow with the last sip.

This was the second freshly tapped cask beer I tried at the barrel house for Tap It Tuesday. This beer was hazy orange in color with good foam and minor lacing. Nice sweet apple and super cinnamon aroma and flavor. Really spicy with cinnamon but not overpowering. Has an apple cider feel to it, very sour and tart with a medium body. Very nicely donw and unlike any other beer I've had. Cascade does it again.
