This classic strong ale has been brewed for centuries and is typically the biggest beer a brewery can produce. Our current edition boasts rich malt aromas of caramel and toffee up front with firm hop bitterness in the finish provided by American Magnum and Centennial hops. The British aromatic gem East Kent Goldings gives the brew a slight earthy spiciness. A heavy hitter for sure, but you will be deceived by the dangerously smooth body as the nearly 12% kick is subtly hidden behind layers of malt, hop and ester complexity. Best when sipped by the fire out of a brandy snifter after a long cold day on the mountain. We hope you enjoy this late winter warmer. Cheers!
