Tasted on tap at the 2007 Pizza Port Strong Ale Festival. This Barley Wine pours a hazy and muddy medium brown color. Medium to small sized white foamy head. Aroma is fruity and sweet, caramel and malty. A medium bodied barley wine. Malts are fruity, caramel and sweet. Hops are earthy and mild. A touch sweet and perhaps a little thin tasting. This one is more in the English style of barley wine. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet.

Muddy light brown body that actually looks like a cup of coffee. A little lacing hangs on the glass. The aroma is very sweet with lots of candy sugar and malt. Not much else. The flavor is very similar with an odd bitterness. Not a good barley wine. Medium to full bodied and smooth.
