Live rate on Zoom with Fergus, Stefan, Marko and Viktor. Cheers mates. Completing Ratebeer finally! Rate #10000. The clear glass nip bottle pours with dark mahogany colored body that supports virtually no head at all (which is OK). The aroma offers up inviting levels of chocolate nuanced peach fruit, smooth soft dark fruity brandy notes, some booze and then melded prune and date dark fruity esters. The taste is similar with forward integrated and melded chocolate infused peach fruit flowing into smooth sherry brandy goodness and a hit of booze. To midway a pleasing island of prune and date and fig sweet dark fruity esters slowly bubbles to the surface. Into the finish thin layers of reduced sugar like caramel and molasses join into the fun. So smooth and so good. Loving this. Big thanks to the Angry Chair team for creating this delicious barleywine. Gauntlet: what Angry Chair barleywine is going to top this?
