This is the first in a series of single barrel releases – an adventurous twist on a classic style, Sleeping Giant is a traditional English Barley Wine aged in a fresh whiskey barrel. Brewed with Eric Ecclestone of Biergotter fame in early March using an abundance of English malts with brown sugar added during the boil and barrel aged for three months. Aromas of coconut and toasted oak lead into rich malt flavours blending with oak and a fruity maple finish. Very smooth for the biggest of English beers with a warm finish that reminds you not to wake the sleeping giant within.
