Our 2013 Great American Beer Festival gold-medal winner, Old Numbskull, has been aging in premium Brandy barrels for the past year to develop its rich and intense flavor profile. The result is an amazingly complex beer that balances the caramel and toasted malt character of Old Numbskull with notes of plum, honey, and oak from the barrel aging process.

750ml bottle pours with a murky deep mahogany colored body that supports a light tan head. The aroma offers up molasses, toffee, sweetened cherry, brown sugar and then muted sweetened pine hops and full on yum. The taste is rich and deep and luscious, wow! I get molasses, toffee, brown sugar and deep dark ripe cherry richness. To midway it gets into sweetened pine hops and more cherry mixed with booze and Brandy. This is such a great sipper.
