Henrik Imperial Amber is a heavily dry-hopped ale somewhere between an American Amber Ale and a Double IPA. Bucket loads of American hops were used to balance the malts in this powerful beer. Henrik Imperial Amber is brewed by Gahr Smith-Gahrsen and Kim Odland at Lervig Aktiebryggeri and was originally brewed at 8.1% and served on tap at Henrik Øl- og Vinstove, Bergen, exclusively.

On tap at Schouskjelleren. Amber colour with an off-white head. Quite hoppy aroma with citrus, spices, malt, caramel and hints of pine. Medium+ body. Fairly sweet and slightly caramelly, but the hops are dominating. Finishes fruity, bitter and citrusy. Well balanced. Alcohol is well integrated and this is quite easy to drink.
